A line of blue blood across paper

Words on a page can last forever

A deliberate scribble of a pen

Words that build empires, explain the unknown

answers life’s questions, gone in a heartbeat.

Monuments that last the test of time

Pyramids celebrate forgotten kings

Etched in stone are faces that never change

Weather disfigures our memories

Do angels have wings

If all statues are eroded

All drawings are lost

Memory fading with generations

Death is only another step

Memories lie with gravestones, loved ones, legacies

Time is the only absolute
